Job Requirements

  • High-school graduate or equivalent
  • one year of work-related experience preferred
  • proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • data entry and database management experience
  • telephone etiquette experience
  • understanding of hospitality industry preferred
  • previous experience as guest services agent preferred
  • bilingual communication skills preferred
  • experience with front office equipment
  • ability to work varied schedules

Job Qualifications

  • High-school graduate or equivalent
  • one year of work-related experience preferred including customer service, hotel industry, management, restaurant administration, human resources, legal, education, training and development, or financial fields
  • proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • data entry and database management experience
  • telephone etiquette skills
  • understanding of hospitality industry preferred
  • previous experience as guest services agent preferred
  • bilingual communication skills preferred
  • experience with front office equipment
  • excellent written and oral communication skills
  • strong organization skills

Job Duties

  • Serve as concierge to guests including making restaurant reservations, providing directions, recommending area attractions
  • become familiar with property location, room types and rates, activities and services
  • review guest reservation status and assist guests in making choices using suggestive selling techniques
  • accommodate guests with registration, assign rooms, generate room cards and assist with special requests
  • verify guest payment method and follow credit procedures
  • post and file charges, manage safe deposit boxes, handle mailing and messaging
  • input guest information and keep front desk area presentable
  • coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to update room status and address maintenance requests
  • attend departmental meetings and report unusual occurrences
  • understand and follow safety and emergency procedures
  • perform other tasks to meet or exceed guest satisfaction
