Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • ability to present information effectively and respond to guest questions
  • ability to solve practical problems and deal with variable situations
  • ability to interpret multiple forms of instructions
  • ability to operate Property Management System and PBX system
  • accountable for balancing daily shift bank
  • physical capability to stand, walk, talk, hear regularly
  • ability to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently
  • occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
  • ability to adjust vision focus
  • willingness to work in a moderate noise environment
  • maintain high standards of personal hygiene and uniform

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • six months to one year of related experience or training

  • effective communication skills to respond to guest inquiries
  • problem-solving skills to manage practical and variable situations
  • ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions

  • strong organizational and customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
  • check in and check out hotel guests confidently, professionally, and friendly
  • answer all phone calls promptly and accurately
  • complete all shift checklist items by end of shift
  • follow established key control policy
  • maintain professional appearance and hygiene
  • ensure credit policies are followed and verify credit limits
  • submit lost and found reports
  • assist with concierge services by providing knowledge of local area, attractions, and events
  • be knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures
  • open, secure, and balance daily shift bank including cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • monitor room availability
  • review daily selling status using yield management system
  • attend monthly department meetings
  • perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • coordinate with other departments to enhance guest satisfaction
