Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in medical receptionist or front desk role
  • familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • strong communication skills
  • multitasking ability
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • ability to prioritize tasks

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • additional certification in medical office administration is a plus
  • previous experience as a medical receptionist or front desk role in a healthcare setting preferred
  • familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical terminology
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under pressure
  • proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer skills
  • professional and courteous demeanor with a patient-focused attitude

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome patients as they arrive, ensuring a positive and professional first impression
  • answer incoming phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the appointment calendar
  • check patients in and out, verify insurance information, and collect co-pays or payments as needed
  • maintain accurate patient records and update information in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and timely communication
  • handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding office policies and procedures
  • prepare and organize patient paperwork and forms prior to appointments
  • assist with billing and insurance claims processing as required
  • maintain a clean and organized front desk area
