Job Requirements
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs, occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Must be 18 years or older to operate balers, forklifts, power jacks, and slicing machines
- Must comply with company grooming and uniform policies
- Ability to maintain punctual and regular attendance
- Ability to work overtime as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand the English language
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies
- Knowledge of baking procedures and equipment operation preferred
- Previous experience in a retail bakery or food service environment is an asset
- Ability to follow recipes and quality assurance standards
- Basic math skills for inventory and sales tracking
Job Duties
- Maintain clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and quality assurance standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company and customer satisfaction
- Perform duties according to local, state and federal regulations
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Follow hand washing and glove use standards
- Follow recipes to produce food products
- Operate equipment to cook, mix and process ingredients
- Prepare special order requests
- Track sales on production logs
- Take inventory and reorder supplies
- Place reclamation in the proper location
- Lift, push, pull and rotate merchandise
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Check prices and know store item locations
- Promote charitable sales
- Stand for duration of shift
- Receive deliveries
- Assist other departments as instructed
- Follow HAZCOM and safety policies
- Handle damaged and spoiled products
- Use and maintain equipment
- Check refrigeration regularly
- Complete training programs
- Maintain punctual attendance
- Work overtime as assigned
- Work cooperatively with others
- Must be 18 or older to operate machinery
- Perform other duties as assigned
