Job Requirements
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret and understand English language
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a scheduled shift
- Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs and occasionally lift 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying temperatures
- Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products, spices and powdered substances without allergic reactions
- Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents
- Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way
- Ability to work cooperatively with others
- Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with attendance policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze and understand English
- Previous experience in bakery or food service preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate bakery equipment
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work standing for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
Job Duties
- Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment
- Maintain department sanitation and QA standards
- Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment
- Keep floor clear of debris and spills
- Greet all customers and provide them with prompt, courteous service and assistance
- Maintain and properly use all department equipment
- Pack out product into display cases
- Rotate product to ensure freshness
- Ensure accurate signage for the department
- Prepare trays to company's and customer's satisfaction
- Perform duties in accordance with local, state and federal regulations related to bakery operations
- Dress and groom according to company policy
- Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture and appearance
- Set up and operate bakery equipment according to formulas or recipes
- Prepare special order requests
- Track sales on production logs
- Take inventory of supplies and reorder as needed
- Place reclamation in proper location
- Lift, pull, push and rotate merchandise up to 50 lbs
- Unload trucks and transport merchandise
- Check prices and product location
- Promote charitable promotions
- Receive deliveries
- Assist other departments as needed
- Adhere to safety and quality assurance standards
- Complete department training programs
- Work cooperatively with others
