Job Requirements

  • Permanent status as Associate Staff Analyst or eligibility on the civil service list
  • Availability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm
  • Residency in New York City or eligibility under residency rules
  • Ability to work remotely up to two days per week
  • Strong project management and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Experience in grant administration and strategic planning
  • Background in sustainable transportation practices

Job Qualifications

  • Master's degree in economics, finance, business administration, urban studies, or related field
  • One year of professional experience in budget administration, economic or financial research, program evaluation, or public administration
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Experience with project management and multi-stakeholder engagement
  • Knowledge of urban freight, logistics, or transportation systems
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization software
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office applications

Job Duties

  • Manage timelines, budgets, and milestones for grant-funded initiatives
  • Coordinate with partners to ensure compliance and reporting
  • Lead Urban Freight Collaborative initiatives including planning and data collection
  • Organize quarterly Freight Advisory Committee meetings and prepare strategic agendas
  • Collaborate with industry, community groups, and agencies on freight solutions
  • Develop and publish the Freight Mobility newsletter
  • Support cross-functional projects with data analysis, policy development, and program evaluation
  • Foster team collaboration and mentorship within the Freight Mobility Unit
