Job Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A or B
  • clean driving record that meets DOT standards
  • ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
  • ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts and pallet jacks
  • ability to work in various weather conditions
  • strong work ethic, reliability, and team-first attitude
  • flexibility to work varying shifts
  • ability to read, write, and understand English including shipping documents and safety regulations
  • commitment to safety and adherence to procedures

Job Duties

  • Safely operate commercial motor vehicles, perform timely pickup and delivery of LTL freight, conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, interact professionally with customers, accurately complete shipping documents, utilize handheld scanners for tracking, secure freight using proper equipment, adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols, load and unload freight with material handling equipment, sort and stage freight according to destination, verify freight piece counts and damage, operate dock equipment safely, maintain a clean and organized dock and yard, assist with weighing and dimensioning freight, operate yard trucks to reposition trailers, spot trailers for loading and unloading, conduct yard equipment inspections, communicate with dispatch and dock personnel, conduct yard checks and update trailer inventory, ensure proper trailer placement and brake application, maintain awareness of yard traffic, assist trailer flow management during peak times, assist with terminal upkeep, participate in safety meetings, communicate effectively with team members, perform other duties as assigned, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability
