Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior experience in warehousing or freight handling preferred
- Experience with forklift operations preferred
- Ability to count and perform basic math with or without a calculator
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift hand freight multiple times per week
- Ability to lift dock plates weighing approximately 100 pounds
- Ability to open trailer doors requiring approximately 75 pounds of force
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, and push or pull freight during shift
- Ability to work independently or within a team
- Previous dock or warehouse experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Prior experience in warehousing or freight handling preferred
- Forklift operation experience preferred
- Ability to count and perform basic math
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift and carry varying weights
- Ability to perform physical tasks including bending, twisting, squatting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
Job Duties
- Transport freight across dock area for loading and unloading trailers
- Perform freight handling using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck
- Verify freight documentation matches freight description
- Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps, and rope
- Recoup or repair damaged freight when necessary
- Complete required documentation and reports
- Assist customers with freight and documentation
- Perform hostling duties if required
- Comply with laws, regulations, and company policies
- Perform additional duties as assigned
