Job Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Forklift driver qualification
- Hazardous material training
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Good judgment in solving problems
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Job Duties
- Read work order or follow oral instructions to determine materials or containers to be moved
- Load and unload freight and count onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves
- Load freight into vehicles and install blocking, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit
- Transport freight from storage dock area or trailers to designated area
- Secure lifting attachments to freight and convey load to move load to destination
- Attach identifying tags or labels to freight or mark information on cases, bales, pallets, and other shipping packages
- Stack or assemble freight into bundles and band bundles together on pallets
- Clean work area, machines and equipment to assist machine operators
- Operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving material and products
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
