Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Willingness to work flexible rotating shifts including weekdays, nights, and occasional weekends
- Must be located in the geographic area of the job or willing to relocate
- Ability to supervise and manage team members effectively
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel between UPS facilities and customer sites frequently
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in freight or logistics operations
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
- Ability to conduct training and safety enforcement
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with freight forwarding systems or similar logistics software
Job Duties
- Coordinate inbound and outbound freight truck movements
- Oversee and monitor truckloads with Central Dispatch to meet lockouts and appointment schedules
- Conduct ride-alongs and training to ensure safe driving methods
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and UPS policies
- Monitor and review pickup and delivery status and address customer delays and service failures
- Maintain training records and shipment status information
- Supervise specialists and hourly employees within the department
