Job Requirements
- Must be U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
- Currently located in or willing to relocate to the job's geographic area
- Flexible with rotating shifts including nights and weekends
- Ability to spend 90% of time on road supervising operations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in freight operations or logistics supervision
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with freight forwarding systems preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Job Duties
- Coordinate inbound and outbound UPS Freight Forwarding truck movements
- Collaborate with Central Dispatch to monitor truckloads and ensure schedules are met
- Conduct ride-alongs and training sessions to promote safe driving
- Ensure compliance with governmental regulations and UPS policies
- Monitor pickup and delivery statuses and communicate with customers regarding delays
- Maintain training records and shipment status information
- Supervise specialists and hourly employees
- Review manifests and documents for compliance
- Spend majority of time on-road between UPS Bensenville facility and O'Hare International Cargo buildings
- Occasionally visit customer sites
- Work flexible rotating shifts including weekdays, nights, and weekends
