Job Requirements
- University/college degree is an asset
- Minimum 3 years relevant industry experience in freight forwarding
- Minimum 3 years of shipping, receiving and import/export operations experience
- Experience filing IMO, AES, and ISF documents
- Proven experience processing shipments in compliance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling
- Experience using UPS and FedEx shipping software
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google workplace tools
- Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations preferred
- Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable
- Strong English language skills
Job Qualifications

- 3+ years of relevant industry experience in freight forwarding
- 3+ years of shipping, receiving and import/export operations experience
- Experience filing International Maritime Organization (IMO), Automated Export System (AES), and Importer Security Filing (ISF) documents
- Proven record processing shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements
- Experience processing shipments using UPS and FedEx software
- Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides
- Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations preferred
- Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable
- Language proficiency in English
Job Duties
- Safely and efficiently performs assigned processes to meet the required daily logistics activities
- Collaborates and communicates with logistics technicians, customer service representatives, quality personnel, and others involved in the shipment and receipt of products about information related to the shipment
- Compiles carrier and route assignments
- Tracks, traces, and updates the status of shipments
- Oversees hazardous material (hazmat) handling, hazmat documentation, equipment and procedures
- Understands the limited scope of regulations that the operator arranges
- Fully understands and follows regulations of both international and domestic shipments
- Prepares hazmat shipments, including documentation
- Negotiates expenses related to logistics shipments
- Recognizes necessary shipping, trading and logistics technical terms
- Practices safety and accuracy daily in operations
