Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- relevant experience in retail or grocery store environment preferred
- ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds
- effective communication skills
- punctuality and reliability
- willingness to participate in training
- ability to follow safety procedures
- legal eligibility to work
- meet state requirements to operate machinery
- possession of valid Driver's License or State ID
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence
- effective and pleasant communication skills with guests, vendors, and associates
- basic mathematical skills with money, weight, and volume measurements
- common sense and problem-solving abilities
- meets state minimum requirement to operate baler and trash compactor
- valid Driver's License or State ID
- completion of Yoke's training programs including safety, food handling, and guest service
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and on a regular basis
- promoting sales and exceptional service through active discussions with guests
- unloading freight from trucks, breaking down mixed pallets, and organizing for stocking
- participating in the Freight Department accident reduction plan
- operating equipment like com-line, phone, baler, box cutter, pallet jack, and cash register
- mentoring new associates
- communicating and completing guests' special order requests with accuracy and timeliness
- ensuring all work complies with safety and company policies
- participating in Grocery Department safety and sanitation protocols
