Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and work safely
- Physical ability to perform assigned tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Availability to work assigned shifts punctually and regularly
- Meets state minimum requirement to operate baler and trash compactor
- Valid driver's license or state ID card
- Willingness to complete company-provided training programs
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Effective and pleasant communication with guests vendors and associates
- Mathematical skills using units of American money weight and volume
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written or oral form
- Meets state minimum requirements to work baler and trash compactor
- Valid driver's license or state ID card
- Completion or willingness to complete Yoke's provided training including Active Shooter Grocery Skills Training levels One Two and Three Food Handler's Safety Training HIPAA Training Late Night Retail Safety Training Yoke's Safety Orientation Training and Guest Service Training
Job Duties
- Reporting for assigned shifts on time and regularly capable of clear communication and physical aptitude to safely perform tasks prepared to provide excellent service
- Promoting sales and exceptional service through active discussions with guests including product recommendations samples and current promotions while on sales floor or in check stand
- Unloading freight from trucks breaking down pallets organizing for stocking filling shelves facing products cleaning aisles back room and promptly removing debris from stocking
- Participating in Freight Department accident reduction including monitoring displays for hazards safe lifting techniques and recognizing safety features of machinery store evacuation plan and robbery policy
- Operating equipment safely including com-line phone baler box cutter FM unit pallet jack six wheelers symbol unit cash register and trash compactor
- Mentoring new associates assuring a positive learning environment
- Communicating and completing guests' special order requests accurately and timely
- Ensuring work complies with all local state federal and company rules regarding safety and guest services
- Participating in Grocery Department accident reduction including cleaning floors sanitizing monitoring shelf order safety features case temperatures and storing regulations
