Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear regularly
  • occasional sitting
  • physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds
  • ability to perform close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustments
  • willingness to work flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods

  • ability to develop knowledge of Point of Sale software

Job Duties

  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure shipments are correct
  • send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx
  • check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
  • double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and items match what you are shipping out
  • fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping
  • remove pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
  • place Sensormatic tags on each garment
  • hang and fold merchandise to be put on the sales floor and steam when necessary
  • assist on projects on floor when necessary
  • work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods
  • develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale software
  • receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
  • send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors for 30 days
  • maintain all shipment-related paperwork
  • watch for security risks and prevent or handle thefts
  • make FedEx labels and sort packages by shipment transit time
  • send in recalls and Return to Vendors weekly
  • keep supplies stocked and organized
  • organize fixtures and shelving
  • support a clean and organized work area
  • maintain daily work files
  • communicate policy violations confidentially
  • provide feedback to management on merchandise handling
  • understand and apply company code of ethics
  • fulfill mission by performing duties with high customer service
  • perform special projects and other duties as assigned
