Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 pounds
  • flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts
  • basic computer skills
  • willingness to adhere to company policies and code of ethics

Job Qualifications

  • No prior experience or training required
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including holidays
  • basic knowledge of Point of Sale software preferred
  • strong organizational skills
  • attention to detail

  • physical ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
  • understanding of retail merchandise handling and shipping procedures
  • commitment to uphold company policies and ethics

Job Duties

  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct
  • send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to guests via FedEx
  • check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
  • double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out
  • fold items and place in appropriate sized box for proper presentation when shipping to guests and other stores
  • remove any pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
  • place Sensormatic tags on each garment in designated place
  • hang and fold merchandise for sales floor and steam when necessary
  • assist on projects on floor when necessary
  • work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • develop and maintain knowledge of Point of Sale software
  • receive freight boxes and store transfers through register
  • send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors
  • maintain all shipment-related paperwork
  • watch for and recognize security risks and thefts and know how to prevent or handle these situations
  • make FedEx labels for packages and sort by required shipment transit time
  • send recalls and return to vendors weekly
  • keep supplies in stock and organized
  • organize fixtures and shelving
  • support a neat, clean, and organized work area
  • maintain daily work filed and in order
  • communicate policy violations to management
  • provide feedback regarding merchandise handling
  • understand and apply the Buckle Code of Ethics
  • perform job duties with high customer service and contribute to positive team spirit
  • complete special projects and other duties as assigned
