Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, climb, balance, jump, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear
  • physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs
  • vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to recognize and prevent security risks
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • adherence to company code of ethics and policies

Job Qualifications

  • No prior experience or training required
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to handle physical demands of the job including lifting up to 50 lbs
  • knowledge of basic computer functions and willingness to learn POS software
  • strong attention to detail
  • excellent organizational skills
  • good communication skills
  • ability to work well in a team environment
  • flexibility to work varied shifts and holidays
  • understanding of customer service principles
  • adherence to company policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Compare and verify merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct
  • send any alterations, layaways, or special orders to Guests via FedEx
  • check accuracy of freight packing slips and transfer slips
  • double-check that all transfers have been processed through the register and that items match what you are shipping out
  • fold items and place in appropriate sized box when shipping to Guests and other stores
  • remove any pins and plastic from merchandise shipped in
  • place Sensormatic tags on each garment in the designated place
  • hang and fold merchandise to be put on the sales floor and steam when necessary
  • assist on projects on floor when necessary
  • work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • develop and maintain knowledge of POS software
  • receive freight boxes and store transfers through the register
  • send discrepancies in store mail and file non-errors for 30 days
  • maintain all shipment-related paperwork
  • recognize and prevent security risks and thefts
  • make FedEx labels for all packages and sort packages by required shipment transit time
  • send in recalls and Return to Vendors on a weekly basis
  • keep supplies in stock and organized
  • organize fixtures and shelving
  • maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area
  • maintain daily work files in order
  • communicate policy violations in a timely and confidential manner
  • provide feedback regarding merchandise handling concerns
  • understand and apply the Code of Ethics and company policies
  • perform job duties with a high level of customer service
  • complete special projects and other assigned duties
