Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in freight operations or logistics
  • Proficiency with transportation management systems
  • Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Willingness to support team members and collaborate effectively

Job Qualifications

  • Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS)
  • Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
  • In-depth knowledge of freight operations and logistics
  • Experience in inside sales within the transportation industry is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills with clients and carriers
  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist where needed

Job Duties

  • Manage shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and efficient transportation
  • Secure freight capacity by making cold calls to carriers and building strong carrier relationships
  • Handle carrier qualifications, onboarding, and rate negotiations
  • Provide timely shipment tracking and updates to clients
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and carriers for a seamless shipping experience
  • Support inside sales by identifying new business opportunities and assisting in customer development
  • Collaborate with team members by covering loads and responding promptly to group emails
  • Resolve shipment transit issues efficiently
  • Perform other duties as assigned
