Job Requirements

must have an established book of business in freight brokerage
ability to work as an independent contractor on a commission-only basis
excellent communication and negotiation skills
capacity to manage multiple freight shipments simultaneously
self-motivated and disciplined to operate independently
access to reliable internet and technology for remote work
knowledge of freight industry standards and compliance

Job Qualifications

proven experience as an independent freight agent or broker
strong existing book of business in freight brokerage
familiarity with various freight modes and logistics processes
excellent negotiation and communication skills
ability to work independently and manage time effectively
proficiency with freight management software and related technology
knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements

Job Duties

continue managing and growing your existing customer base
quote, book, and track freight across multiple modes including FTL, LTL, reefer, and flatbed
maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
coordinate with carriers to secure freight capacity and negotiate competitive rates
utilize technology platforms for freight management and documentation
identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and referrals
ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
