Job Requirements
- Fluency in English
- Based in Kalamazoo, MI
- Availability for contract, per-event scheduling
- Experience with complex events and executive-level intimate gatherings
- Demonstrated high-level event execution
- Strong resourcefulness and grace under pressure
- Quick thinking and adaptability
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Enjoys customer service and relationship building
- Ability to manage group dynamics
- Flexibility for varying work hours
- Willingness to travel locally
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable in fast-paced settings
- Ability to multitask and handle varied projects
- Physical ability to lift 30 lbs and stand for long periods
Job Qualifications
- Experience in corporate event management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to execute large-scale and intimate events professionally
- Customer service expertise, especially in high-pressure environments
- Skilled in group facilitation and managing group dynamics
- Organized, detail-oriented, and self-starter mentality
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
- Comfortable interacting with large crowds
- Resourceful with excellent problem-solving abilities
Job Duties
- Coordinate all event details and staff logistics
- Join virtual planning meetings with corporate and nonprofit partners
- Take ownership of event setup, on-site alignment, tear down, and site cleanup
- Represent Visit.org as the event leader and problem solver
- Manage guest check-in with a warm, welcoming presence
- Address issues such as missing supplies, late staff, and technology challenges
- Provide real-time updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team
- Oversee packing and shipping of supplies after events
