Job Requirements

  • Fluency in English
  • Based in Hoover, AL
  • Schedule flexibility for contract per-event work
  • Experience with large-scale and executive-level events
  • Ability to manage event logistics and customer experience

Job Duties

  • Be the on-site Event Coordinator for in-person social impact team-building events
  • Participate in virtual planning meetings with corporate partners, nonprofit partners, and internal Visit.org teams
  • Take ownership of event setup, align with on-site team, manage tear down and site cleanup
  • Represent Visit.org as leader and problem solver at events
  • Coordinate roles and responsibilities among event hosts, nonprofit organizations, venues, additional staff, and corporate partners
  • Manage check-in processes and provide welcoming customer service to guests
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues such as missing supplies, late staff, and technology challenges
  • Communicate updates, photos, and videos to the Events Team throughout the event
  • Handle post-event breakdown, clean up, repack, and return materials to the distribution center
  • Pack supplies and prepare shipping labels as required
