Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or secondary education or equivalent plus one year of housekeeping experience including some supervisory training or experience
  • Must be able to speak local language(s)
  • Availability on weekends

  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of housekeeping operations and cleaning standards
  • Ability to handle guest complaints and requests professionally

Job Duties

  • Check public areas guest rooms suites equipment linens are clean and in good repair advise team members of areas of improvements
  • Perform housekeeping duties including making beds vacuuming and cleaning guest suites to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Handle complaints and special requests to achieve complete guest satisfaction
  • Comply with special needs and requests of guests VIPs and repeat visitors
  • Manage day-to-day staffing plan and assign work establish performance and development goals provide mentoring coaching and feedback
  • Educate and train employees in compliance with regulations ensure proper training and equipment
  • Promote teamwork and coordination with other department heads
  • Assist with deep cleaning projects and assist staff during high volume periods
  • Maintain inventory levels manage cost per room for supplies and labor
  • Maintain and order supplies and equipment minimizing waste supporting green initiatives
  • Maintain procedures for security of lost and found items
  • Perform other duties as assigned
