Job Requirements

  • Food Handlers Certification compliant with state requirements
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with hotel standards
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
  • Comply with hospitality standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations
  • Comply with certification requirements such as Food Handlers and Safety
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times
  • Have thorough knowledge of menus and food preparation requirements
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas
  • Complete necessary food and station preparations before opening
  • Prepare and display buffet food items according to standards
  • Maintain post on kitchen line to prepare food to order
  • Prepare food for Banquets as per Banquet Event Orders
  • Prepare and serve food for Associate Cafeteria as directed
  • Prepare all foods following standard recipes
  • Assist in preparation of specials under leadership direction
  • Breakdown buffets and kitchen line, store food and equipment properly
  • Work banquet food station as scheduled
  • Know location and operation of all fire extinguishing equipment
  • Practice safe work habits to prevent injuries
  • Be familiar with hotel policies and emergency procedures
  • Use production charts as specified
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to guests and colleagues
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment
  • Maintain the clean as you go policy
  • Assist in storage and rotation of food items
  • Sign keys out and in under supervision
  • Attend meetings as required by management
  • Perform any other duties as requested
  • Interact occasionally with guests and colleagues unsupervised
  • Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility
  • Represent the company with good character and sound judgement
