Job Duties

  • Maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through your work area during shift
  • Follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
  • Assist other employees as needed
  • Follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
  • Adhere to all HOB policies and procedures
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
  • Request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
  • Recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
  • Occasionally work special events scheduled within the venue
  • Handle side duties including stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, including lifting/moving up to 25 lbs
  • Clean and assist with maintaining bar equipment
  • Put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
  • Ensure that trash containers are clean, free of odor and lined, operating the trash compactor per policy
  • Par all bars per venue specifications
