Job Duties
- maintain line of sight/atmosphere control by circulating through work area during shift
- follow House of Blues safety, health, and sanitation standards
- assist other employees as needed
- follow opening and closing procedures, checking out with manager on duty
- adhere to all HOB policies and procedures
- ensure responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies
- request proper identification for anyone appearing under 30 years of age
- recognize when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refuse further service of alcohol in a courteous and safety-minded manner, bringing it to the attention of a manager
- occasionally work special events scheduled within the venue
- handle side duties including stocking ice bins, liquor, beer, wine, and coolers, including lifting/moving up to 25 lbs
- clean and assist with maintaining bar equipment
- put all trash and recyclable products in proper receptacles
- ensure that trash containers are clean, free of odor and lined, operating the trash compactor per policy
- par all bars per venue specifications
