Job Requirements
- minimum age 18
- experience in restaurant leadership
- experience in an H-E-B Restaurant preferred
- experience in restaurant Point of Sale POS systems preferred
- completion of Alcohol Seller Training and Cash Handling training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment
- ability to work extended hours and or rotating schedules
- ability to safely maneuver around moving mechanical parts
- ability to constantly reach at waist and grasp
- frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic materials
- frequent standing and walking
- frequent exposure to wet and cold conditions
- occasional reaching at overhead, shoulder, knee, floor
- occasional bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, climbing stairs, pivoting, twisting, pushing or pulling with arms, pinching, fine motor movements, shoulder circumduction
- occasional exposure to heat, ambient temperatures, and loud noise
- ability to lift 50 lbs and manage in excess of 50 lbs with safe lifting practices

- leadership experience in a restaurant environment
- expert customer service and communication skills
- basic culinary knowledge
- understanding of nutrition values and ingredients preferred
- strong reading, writing, and math skills
- strong computer skills including MS Office and internet
- organization and planning skills
- ability to lead a restaurant function and other Partners
- ability to handle guest feedback and resolve problems effectively
- ability to maintain a smile while balancing multiple priorities
Job Duties
- provides work direction
- directly supervises Partners
- serves as conduit of communication for management
- trains Partners on customer service, compliance, food safety, sanitation, equipment operation
- works with manager at peak times
- performs closing responsibilities when needed
- may serve as backup to Manager
- assists in inventory control and purchasing duties
- performs front of house service duties
- provides superior customer service
- promotes a safe environment for all guests through responsible serving
- answers customer questions
- assists with menu and beverage selections including alcoholic beverages
- provides detailed information of menu items and specials, and beer and wine
- addresses complaints
- resolves problems for guests and Partners
- merchandises products effectively
- uses suggestive selling techniques
- performs front of house Partner duties frequently
- performs back of house duties including food preparation, plating, and ingredient ordering
- ensures compliance with TABC regulations
- ensures compliance with department and Store standard operating procedures
- ensures logs are completed for area of responsibility
- ensures cleanliness and sanitation of sales floor, display cases, prep areas, and equipment
