Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Pass pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- Previous forklift operating experience
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be willing to join Teamsters Local Union No. 856
- Ability to operate forklift safely and pass certification if not already certified
- Must be literate in English or Spanish
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to stand, walk, climb, stoop, and use hands for handling equipment
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED preferred
- Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing or food processing plant
- Experience using scan guns and pre-staging procedures
- Ability to read, write, and interpret work-related documents and safety instructions
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and order fulfillment
- Ability to work independently and in teams
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Certification in forklift operation preferred but not required
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Demonstrated problem-solving and multitasking abilities
Job Duties
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials in the facility
- Conduct equipment inspections and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Rotate and stage raw products and pallets throughout the shift
- Issue raw products, unload and load trucks following SOPs
- Receive, stock, and monitor packaging materials inventory
- Pre-stage and scan finished goods using scanner gun
- Build pallets for customer orders and complete load charts
- Perform pre-inspections and load trucks safely
- Rotate product in the warehouse following FIFO procedures
- Operate 12 pallet/tube forklifts for raw product unloading and cooling
- Maintain logs and documentation for tube operations
- Follow safety inspections, report forklift issues, and adhere to OSHA and GMP standards
- Assist with yard organization and other duties as assigned by management
