Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of FPGEE and TOEFL exams
  • Foreign graduate from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy
  • Active pharmacy intern license in state of employment
  • Ability to complete internship within 18 months
  • Ability to attain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of internship completion
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs
  • Ability to complete required training and tasks as assigned

Job Qualifications

  • Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy
  • Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the position is located
  • Eligibility to immunize preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to complete all required US internship hours within 18 months
  • Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days after internship
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
  • Experience or willingness to immunize as required by state regulations

Job Duties

  • Greet each customer in a courteous and professional manner
  • Assist pharmacy and front store customers with questions and concerns
  • Answer telephone calls with a warm and friendly greeting
  • Request additional help when needed to maximize customer satisfaction
  • Perform approved register transactions including cash, check, and charge
  • Maintain customer confidentiality according to HIPAA
  • Comply with federal and state laws and company policies
  • Adhere to CVS workflow and processing prescriptions accurately
  • Resolve third party rejections and complete manual claim forms
  • Assist with inventory management and drug order stocking
  • Deliver additional health care services as allowed by state regulations
  • Offer counseling under supervision of a licensed pharmacist
  • Communicate and interact with healthcare professionals
  • Participate in pharmacy team meetings and support staff training
  • Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy environment
  • Complete all required training programs
