Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of FPGEE and TOEFL exams
- Foreign graduate from a non-US accredited school of pharmacy
- Active pharmacy intern license in state of employment
- Ability to complete internship within 18 months
- Ability to attain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of internship completion
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends with regular attendance
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 20 lbs
- Ability to complete required training and tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications
- Doctorate (PharmD) or equivalent pharmacist degree from a Non-US accredited school of pharmacy
- Active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the position is located
- Eligibility to immunize preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to complete all required US internship hours within 18 months
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days after internship
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred
- Experience or willingness to immunize as required by state regulations
Job Duties
- Greet each customer in a courteous and professional manner
- Assist pharmacy and front store customers with questions and concerns
- Answer telephone calls with a warm and friendly greeting
- Request additional help when needed to maximize customer satisfaction
- Perform approved register transactions including cash, check, and charge
- Maintain customer confidentiality according to HIPAA
- Comply with federal and state laws and company policies
- Adhere to CVS workflow and processing prescriptions accurately
- Resolve third party rejections and complete manual claim forms
- Assist with inventory management and drug order stocking
- Deliver additional health care services as allowed by state regulations
- Offer counseling under supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Communicate and interact with healthcare professionals
- Participate in pharmacy team meetings and support staff training
- Maintain a clean and professional pharmacy environment
- Complete all required training programs
