  • requires ability to carry out standardized instructions and procedures
  • ability to read write and speak English
  • understands basic weights and measures
  • understands basic mathematical functions
  • ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds
  • employees must be at least 18 years of age to perform this role

Job Duties

  • Assembles portions labels and restocks foods for cafeteria services
  • provides appropriate and hospitable service to customers
  • maintains sanitation of cafeteria
  • performs warewashing duties
  • assists in training of other food service workers
  • prepares area for food serving by setting up steam tables and service areas with hot food items salads desserts fruits breakfast foods etc
  • serves food in prescribed quantities according to food service standards
  • takes temperatures before and during meal service
  • informs production if a menu item is running low
  • stocks cold supply before during and after each meal service
