- requires ability to carry out standardized instructions and procedures
- ability to read write and speak English
- understands basic weights and measures
- understands basic mathematical functions
- ability to stoop and lift 30 pounds and push and pull 300 pounds
- employees must be at least 18 years of age to perform this role

Job Duties
- Assembles portions labels and restocks foods for cafeteria services
- provides appropriate and hospitable service to customers
- maintains sanitation of cafeteria
- performs warewashing duties
- assists in training of other food service workers
- prepares area for food serving by setting up steam tables and service areas with hot food items salads desserts fruits breakfast foods etc
- serves food in prescribed quantities according to food service standards
- takes temperatures before and during meal service
- informs production if a menu item is running low
- stocks cold supply before during and after each meal service
