Job Requirements

  • High School/GED diploma
  • at least 5 years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • valid driver’s license
  • current Certified Professional Food Managers License
  • ability to self-motivate and prepare meals professionally
  • ability to work with diverse populations
  • familiarity with POS systems and computer software
  • associate degree with culinary experience preferred
  • knowledge of plating guide specifications preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Must have a High School/GED diploma
  • at least 5 years cooking experience in a professional commercial kitchen
  • ability to read and execute a recipe
  • self-motivated with professional meal preparation skills
  • familiar with point of sales (POS) systems, computers, and software
  • valid driver’s license
  • current Certified Professional Food Managers License
  • ability to work sensitively and effectively with diverse individuals
  • associate degree with culinary experience preferred
  • knowledge of plating guide specifications preferred
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred

Job Duties

  • Receive deliveries and store food in refrigerators and freezers
  • clean food preparation areas and remove garbage from the kitchen
  • ensure the preparation station and the kitchen are set up and stocked
  • prepare dishes on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces
  • make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards
  • clean prep areas, take care of leftovers, stock inventory and supplies
  • make lists of items that need to be ordered and assist in keeping the kitchen organized
  • drive vehicle to transport food following all food safety regulations to and from authorized kitchens to designated community pop-up sites
  • perform daily maintenance of the truck including refueling and cleaning
  • load and unload truck regularly and support with separate food truck operations and products
  • assist with operations as directed by the Food Service Manager around logistics
  • write messages and maintain notes
  • comply and complete with current foodservice and safety standards
  • know how to stock inventory and equipment
  • stock and prep inventory and equipment
