Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • able to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 25 pounds
  • able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • must submit to background check prior to cash handling position
  • pass Luby's Cashier Certification criteria
  • availability to work varied schedules and hours
  • must demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • able to work collaboratively in a team
  • good organizational skills

Job Qualifications

  • Previous customer service experience preferred
  • organizational and multitasking skills
  • ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
  • basic knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to handle monetary transactions accurately
  • strong interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently
  • package, label, and bag orders for take-out and delivery
  • process guest payments using Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • deliver food and beverages to customers as needed
  • ensure guest satisfaction by responding to needs courteously and promptly
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the service area
  • participate in Off Premise Dining services when required
