Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years of food services experience
- Ability to follow agency policies and procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Capable of maintaining equipment cleanliness
- Willingness to provide work direction to others
- Must complete official state employment application
- Provide transcripts upon hiring if applicable
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years of food services experience
- Knowledge of agency policies, procedures, and regulations
- Familiarity with food preparation methods and appliances
- Understanding of sanitation and safety standards
- Knowledge of bakery and meat-processing procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to cadets
- Cook meats, vegetables, sandwiches, soups and gravies
- Unload and store food products
- Inspect prepared food for palatability, appearance and conformance with menus
- Measure prescribed quantities for food and baking products
- Assist with cooking, baking or meat-cutting tasks in a training role
- Maintain DFAC equipment and ensure a clean working environment
- Provide work direction to new employees
- Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor
