Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of food services experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
- Ability to maintain simple records
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Ability to follow instructions and provide work direction
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years food service experience
- Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
- Knowledge of food preparation and service methods
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in food service
- Ability to maintain records and prepare reports
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as a team
Job Duties
- Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and dinner to cadets
- Cook meats, vegetables, sandwiches, soups, gravies and other food products
- Unload and store food products
- Inspect prepared food for palatability, appearance and compliance with menus and diets
- Measure prescribed quantities for food and baking products
- Assist in cooking, baking or meat-cutting tasks
- Train cadets on food serving and handling
- Inspect and maintain dining facility equipment
- Maintain a clean working environment
- Provide work direction to new employees
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
