Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- at least 3 years of supervisor experience or equivalent cooking experience
- ServSafe certified
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- ability to read and follow recipe cards and production sheets
- knowledge of food procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, and serving
- familiarity with dietary menu planning and food service management
- knowledge of sanitary and safety procedures
- good record-keeping skills
Job Qualifications

- experience in quantity and quality cooking or baking
- ServSafe certification
- ability to read and prepare meals using recipe cards and production sheets

Job Duties
- Works under the supervision of the Lead Cook in a small to medium-sized food service unit
- assists with inspections
- conducts staff training
- oversees staff job duties
- helps as a backup in the preparation and cooking/baking of food products
- becomes familiar with headcount/cashier procedures
- manages meal adjustment and appearance of the serving line
- posts meal requirements
- assists with shift coverage
