Job Requirements
- At least two years food preparation experience in a high volume food service environment
- Must have current State of Illinois Food Sanitation certification or obtain within six months of hire
- If no valid license prior to hire, Serve Safe Food Handler certification required within 30 days of hire
- Availability to work 100 percent FTE day shifts including every other weekend early mornings
- Ability to work Monday through Friday shifts as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- At least two years of food preparation experience in high-volume food service
- Current State of Illinois Food Sanitation certification or ability to obtain within six months
- Serve Safe Food Handler certification if no valid license at hire
- Ability to follow strict food safety and hygiene protocols
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work early morning and day shift schedules
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to menu specifications and quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and food preparation areas
- Adhere to state and hospital food safety regulations and guidelines
- Manage time efficiently to meet meal production schedules
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during shifts
- Cover AM grill cook shifts as scheduled
- Monitor food stock and report shortages
