Job Description

Job Requirements
- One year of food service experience
- completion of a program of study from vocational or technical school in food service
- ability to continuously move wrists
- ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- report to work in appropriate uniform
- US citizenship or lawful authorization to work in the US
- successful completion of state and national background screening
- male applicants born after October 1, 1962, must be registered with Selective Service System
Job Qualifications
- One year of food service experience
- completion of a vocational or technical program in a food service area
- knowledge of cooking, baking, and/or meat cutting equipment and procedures
- knowledge of sanitary working procedures
- ability to read and follow recipes and instructions
- ability to plan, organize and coordinate work
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Job Duties
- Estimate food requirements
- prepare and cook all types of hot and cold food items according to menu and approved recipes
- place food items on serving lines and keep the lines well stocked
- cut and debone ham, poultry and fish
- slice meat according to menu needs
- utilize leftover meat
- operate mixing machines, meat saw, slicer, and grinder
- sharpen knives as needed
- lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- turn on and set temperature on grills, stoves, deep fryer and broiler
- operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- report inoperative equipment to supervisor
- maintain clean and sanitary working areas
- assist in unloading and loading delivery trucks
- drive truck when necessary
- transport food carts to wards
- assist in dishwashing when necessary
- attend in-service training and perform related duties as assigned
