Job Requirements

  • One year of food service experience
  • completion of a program from a vocational/technical school in a food service area
  • ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • US citizenship or lawful work authorization
  • compliance with background screening
  • compliance with selective service registration if applicable
  • ability to wear appropriate uniform
  • ability to continuously move wrists
  • availability to attend required training
  • reliable transportation for shifts

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of cooking, baking, and meat cutting techniques
  • knowledge of sanitary working procedures
  • ability to perform food service functions
  • ability to follow recipes and instructions
  • ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work
  • ability to establish effective working relationships

Job Duties

  • Estimate food requirements
  • prepare and cook hot and cold food items according to menu and recipes
  • place and stock food items on serving lines
  • cut and debone ham, poultry, and fish
  • operate mixing machines, meat saw, slicer, and grinder
  • maintain and report on cooking equipment
  • maintain clean and sanitary work areas
  • assist in unloading/loading delivery trucks and drive truck when necessary
  • transport food carts to wards
  • assist in dishwashing
  • attend in-service training
  • perform other duties as assigned
