Job Requirements
- One year of food service experience
- completion of a program from a vocational/technical school in a food service area
- ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
- ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- US citizenship or lawful work authorization
- compliance with background screening
- compliance with selective service registration if applicable
- ability to wear appropriate uniform
- ability to continuously move wrists
- availability to attend required training
- reliable transportation for shifts
Job Qualifications
- One year of food service experience
- completion of a vocational/technical school program in food service
- knowledge of cooking, baking, and meat cutting techniques
- knowledge of sanitary working procedures
- ability to perform food service functions
- ability to follow recipes and instructions
- ability to plan, organize, and coordinate work
- ability to establish effective working relationships
Job Duties
- Estimate food requirements
- prepare and cook hot and cold food items according to menu and recipes
- place and stock food items on serving lines
- cut and debone ham, poultry, and fish
- operate mixing machines, meat saw, slicer, and grinder
- maintain and report on cooking equipment
- maintain clean and sanitary work areas
- assist in unloading/loading delivery trucks and drive truck when necessary
- transport food carts to wards
- assist in dishwashing
- attend in-service training
- perform other duties as assigned
