Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food service or quick service restaurant environment
  • Ability to work full time hours on a temporary 90 day assignment
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Capability to manage cash register transactions accurately
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer focused setting
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to supervise and train other employees
  • Must be able to maintain a passing grade on Environmental Health Department tests
  • Willingness to comply with union membership, including payment of dues and fees
  • Ability to work in Escondido, CA
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of methods, materials and equipment use in food service
  • Understanding of cash handling standards, procedures and protocol
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation methods used in the preparation and serving of food
  • Basic inventory controls and best practices

  • Understanding of guest service standards, policies and uniform standards

  • Ability to foresee needs and maintain stocks before depleted
  • Ability to organize, schedule and supervise food stands employees
  • Ability to operate commercial equipment and utensils safely

Job Duties

  • Supervises the day to day operation of assigned facility
  • Schedules employees and related duties
  • Oversees and assists with preparation of food and food products as needed
  • Ensures that proper safety and sanitation methods are consistently followed
  • Accurately and thoroughly complete daily paperwork
  • Trouble shoot equipment problems
  • Participates in team meetings
  • Supervises and schedules the duties of quick service restaurant employees
  • Makes certain the work area is maintained in a safe and sanitary condition
  • Maintain an organized and clean facility
  • Familiar with the quick service operation and related responsibilities
  • Keeps up with food and labor cost control procedures
  • Performs weekly and period end inventories
  • Places orders to warehouse for replenishment of food and supplies
  • Maintains proper inventory of supplies
  • Assists daily in preparation of food items as needed
  • Oversees the safety and sanitation methods used in the safe handling, storage and preparation of food
  • Familiar with all menu items in locations supervising, including ingredients and cooking methods
  • Keeps up to date with Health Departments uniform standards
  • Maintains a passing grade on the Environmental Health Department tests
  • Maintain inventory and stock rotation
  • Conduct weekly and period end inventories
  • Assists guests in a courteous, friendly and professional manner
