Job Description

Job Requirements
- High school graduate or GED certificate preferred
- valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record
- ability to perform physical tasks related to cleaning and transporting food
- no prior experience required but preferred 1-year experience related to janitorial, supply stocking, general utility work, warehouse, customer service in retail setting, food service, hospitality or healthcare
- willingness to adhere to food safety protocols
- ability to work flexible hours and occasional driving duties

Job Duties
- Performs a variety of dietary functions related to daily meal service in the hospital
- performs general sanitation duties throughout department in all areas
- works in dish room including operating machine, cleaning machine and cleaning dish room floors, walls, and equipment
- cleans floors by mopping, scrubbing and operating floor machine
- removes trash, recyclables from kitchen
- transports food to areas via truck or cart
- delivers patient carts to floors
- performs special cleaning assignments of all surfaces structural and equipment in the kitchen
- puts away stock and cleans food storage areas
- washes pots and pans in the pot sink area and stores pots and utensils in a clean and protected way
- follows food safety rules
- performs other duties as assigned by manager which may include working similar positions like tray line server or cafeteria server
- includes some driving duties associated with this position
