Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • at least 1 year of supervisory experience in food and nutrition service operations in a healthcare setting preferred
  • associate degree in dietary and nutrition preferred
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved exemption required

  • ability to explain menus, answer questions, respond to requests, and coordinate meal service process
  • communicates effectively with all levels, including food and nutrition team, dietician, nursing staff, culinary team, other departments, and residents
  • fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or approved exemption required

Job Duties

  • assist the Food Services Manager and Registered Dietician in overseeing the food and nutrition service program and assessing food preferences and nutritional needs of residents
  • assist Sous Chef and culinary team with delivering high quality and nutritious meals to the residents
  • assist in supervision of health center food and nutrition staff
  • schedule work assignments and cleaning schedules for food and nutrition staff and ensure that all standards are met
  • in conjunction with or in absence of the Food Services Manager, supervise the physical appearance and ambience of dining rooms and server stations, including table settings and arrangements, floors, drapes, and lighting
  • ensure accuracy of daily meal counts
