Job Requirements
- No experience required
- Knowledge of basic food safety, infection control, and sanitation
- Serve Safe training may be required depending on location
- ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of CBORD system preferred
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and kneel
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of food safety, infection control, and sanitation
- Ability to operate basic computer systems and food service equipment
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on courteous interaction
- Ability to perform physical tasks involving standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling
- Effective communication skills to interact with diverse customer base
- Prior experience in food service or healthcare environment is a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Prepare, plate, serve, and transport food and supplies to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain high standards of sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices in food service areas
- Operate a variety of food service and computer equipment efficiently and safely
- Provide quick, accurate, and courteous service to patients, family members, physicians, employees, and the public
- Address and resolve customer concerns related to food service promptly
- Follow food safety procedures and protocols, including handling and storage
- Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as needed
