Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Knowledge of basic food safety, infection control and sanitation
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Capacity to lift, push, pull, bend and kneel
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to provide quick, accurate and courteous service
  • Willingness to work PRN evening shifts

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • No experience required
  • Requires knowledge of basic food safety
  • infection control and sanitation
  • Serve Safe training may be required, depending on location
  • ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of the CBORD system relative to job responsibilities preferred
  • Requires ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
  • requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling

Job Duties

  • Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for a diverse customer base
  • The customer base includes patients, family members, physicians, other employees and the public
  • The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns
  • Responsible for associated sanitation, cleaning, and infection control practices to ensure food safety
  • Operates a variety of food service and computer equipment
