Job Requirements

  • Valid California drivers license
  • Must provide DMV report prior to offer
  • No driving infractions 5 years prior to hire or during employment including DUI, suspended or revoked license, reckless driving
  • Ability to read and communicate in English
  • Experience preferred in food service
  • Ability to follow HACCP and sanitation guidelines
  • Ability to operate dishroom equipment safely
  • Ability to deliver patient trays and provide customer service
  • Willingness to work variable shifts
  • Ability to lift and move supplies as needed

Job Qualifications

  • Requires valid California drivers license

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to operate dishroom and retail equipment

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean cooking implements, equipment, and serving pieces
  • Store clean items correctly
  • Clear dirty trays from cafe and patient carts
  • Deliver and pick up patient carts to and from units
  • Sweep and mop floors, wash work tables, walls, and refrigerators
  • Scrape food from dirty dishes, pots, and pans and wash or place them in dishwashing machines
  • Transfer supplies and equipment using hand trucks or carts
  • Check tray for menu accuracy
  • Deliver patient trays using proper identification
  • Operate dishroom equipment correctly and check/document dish machine temperatures
  • Dispose of garbage according to department standards
  • Monitor food service areas to ensure foods are properly covered, labeled, and dated
  • Assist with catering setup and cleanup
  • Prepare food as assigned
  • Take food orders and provide customer service in retail areas
  • Operate cash register and handle money securely
  • Set up and stock food and beverages
  • Assist in tray line operations
  • Follow HACCP guidelines in food preparation
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas
  • Perform other duties as assigned
