Job Requirements
- Requires valid California driver’s license
- must provide DMV report prior to offer
- no driving infractions in last five years including DUI, suspended or revoked license, reckless driving
- ability to read and communicate effectively in English
- preferred food service experience
- willingness to work variable shifts of eight hours or less
- ability to lift and transfer supplies as needed
- follow all health and safety regulations
- ability to perform physical tasks associated with the role
- reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Duties
- Thoroughly cleans cooking implements, equipment, and serving pieces
- clears dirty trays from café and patient carts
- delivers and picks up patient carts
- sweeps and mops floors
- scrapes food from dishes and washes them by hand or in dishwashing machine
- transfers supplies and equipment
- cleans equipment using appropriate chemicals
- works on any tray line station as assigned
- checks tray for accuracy to menu
- moves carts loaded with dishes or trays
- delivers patient trays
- operates dishroom equipment correctly
- checks and documents dish machine temperatures
- disposes of garbage according to standards
- maintains clean work areas
- assists with catering setup and cleanup
- prepares food in cold food production
- tastes products and reads menus
- monitors food service areas for proper covering and labeling
- visits patients for food selections
- replenishes pantry supplies
- assists with catering assignments
- selects recipes and prepares bakery items
- follows HACCP guidelines
- assists cook
- provides excellent customer service in retail area
- operates cash register and handles payments
- prepares dining area
- stocks beverage area
- assembles trays
- cleans and sanitizes carts and work areas
- follows proper dishwashing procedures
- disposes of garbage and maintains sanitation
- demonstrates knowledge to provide appropriate care
- performs other assigned duties
