Job Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • No prior experience required
  • Knowledge of basic food safety, infection control, and sanitation
  • Serve Safe training or ISDOH certification may be required
  • Basic computer skills preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and kneel

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices
  • Familiarity with Serve Safe training or Indiana State Department of Health certification preferred
  • Basic computer skills with knowledge of CBORD system preferred
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to established safety and quality standards
  • Plate and serve food items to patients, staff, and visitors
  • Transport food and supplies efficiently throughout the hospital
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and service areas
  • Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and food safety regulations
  • Operate various food service and computer equipment including the CBORD system
  • Address customer concerns promptly and courteously to maintain satisfaction
