Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- No prior experience required
- Knowledge of basic food safety, infection control, and sanitation
- Serve Safe training or ISDOH certification may be required
- Basic computer skills preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, and kneel
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred
- Knowledge of basic food safety, sanitation, and infection control practices
- Familiarity with Serve Safe training or Indiana State Department of Health certification preferred
- Basic computer skills with knowledge of CBORD system preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and kneeling
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to established safety and quality standards
- Plate and serve food items to patients, staff, and visitors
- Transport food and supplies efficiently throughout the hospital
- Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation and service areas
- Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and food safety regulations
- Operate various food service and computer equipment including the CBORD system
- Address customer concerns promptly and courteously to maintain satisfaction
