Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent
minimum of 3 years food service experience
ability to work in a stressful environment
critical thinking skills
decisive judgment
ability to work with minimal supervision
physical ability to perform job tasks including bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, and repetitive movements
compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
willingness to take appropriate action in challenging situations

Job Qualifications

minimum of 3 years food service experience
strong leadership abilities
knowledge of food safety management
understanding of kitchen sanitation practices
ability to mentor and train staff
experience with performance evaluation processes

Job Duties

supervises daily staff activities for the food services department
handles and resolves complex issues and complaints to enhance employee and patient satisfaction
provides leadership, orientation, training, mentoring and coaching to staff
assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
assists leadership with planning, coordinating, and performing various duties
ensures staff compliance with all regulatory food and employee safety, sanitation requirements, HACCP guidelines, and departmental policies
coordinates and supervises staffing assignments based on daily volumes
performs staff responsibilities to fulfill departmental needs when necessary
