Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum three years of food service experience with at least one year supervisory experience
  • Valid Food Safety Manager Certification
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and food allergies
  • Ability to read and follow detailed recipes and meal plans
  • Strong organizational and communication abilities
  • Genuine passion for serving older adults
  • Experience in healthcare or PACE settings preferred
  • Bilingual language skills a plus
  • CPR and First Aid certification required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Three or more years of experience in food service with at least one year in a supervisory or lead role
  • Valid Food Safety Manager Certification such as ServSafe
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food allergies, and cultural food practices
  • Ability to read and follow recipes and meal plans designed by a Registered Dietitian
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Passion for working with older adults
  • Experience in PACE, long-term care, or healthcare settings is a significant advantage
  • Bilingual skills in Spanish, Tagalog, or other relevant languages are welcomed
  • CPR and First Aid certification

Job Duties

  • Lead by example as a working supervisor joining food preparation, service, and cleanup
  • Inspire and motivate dietary aides and utility staff by coordinating schedules and delegating tasks
  • Provide feedback, coaching, and encouragement while collaborating with Center Manager
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety guidelines
  • Adapt meals to meet therapeutic, cultural, and religious dietary preferences
  • Collaborate with Registered Dietitians and Interdisciplinary Team to meet special dietary needs
  • Oversee portioning, plating, and timely meal delivery
  • Prepare and complete To Go kitchen requests including snacks and frozen meals
  • Monitor food storage, temperatures, cleanliness, and equipment functionality
  • Conduct regular audits and safety checks addressing any issues promptly
  • Manage inventory by ordering, receiving, and storing supplies while reducing waste
  • Collaborate with leadership and Interdisciplinary Team for daily operations, special events, and emergency meal planning
  • Engage with participants and caregivers to gather feedback and ensure satisfaction
  • Step in as needed to support overall center operations
