Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Meet Office of Personnel Management qualification standards
  • At least one year of specialized experience at GS-07 level or equivalent
  • Submit transcripts if qualifying by education
  • Meet federal time-in-grade requirements for GS positions
  • Ability to work well with diverse military and civilian personnel
  • Ability to interpret and apply public law and directives
  • Knowledge of appropriated funding budget and food service systems
  • Proficiency with computer hardware and software including Microsoft Office
  • Credit for appropriate unpaid and part-time work documented
  • Submit proof of foreign education equivalency if applicable

Job Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience at GS-07 level or equivalent
  • Knowledge of agency food service contract management procedures
  • Ability to direct application and quality assurance of food service contracts
  • Knowledge of contract audit requirements and expenditure control
  • Proficiency in public law, policy, and DoD/MAJCOM directives
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written
  • Experience with various budget and food service systems
  • Master’s degree or equivalent graduate education in a related field
  • Combination of education and experience when applicable

Job Duties

  • Manage food operations office
  • Serve as Contract Officer’s Representative (COR) for full food service contract
  • Exercise technical oversight over appropriated fund contracted food service activities
  • Provide surveillance and quality assurance for food service contract compliance
  • Coordinate scheduling of personnel and contract workforce
  • Ensure compliance with Air Force Instructions and safety standards
  • Develop and implement planning documents and recommendations for food service resources
