Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years equivalent hands-on experience in hospitality management, business management, or restaurant management
  • experience in management in a dining service field
  • experience with industry standards for dining services including PCI compliance, point of sale maintenance, managing cash handling policies and procedures
  • experience managing financials, labor, food handling and storage policies and procedures, quality control, health and safety standards
  • accounting experience managing operating budgets with financial forecasts
  • interpersonal communication skills
  • writing skills to prepare correspondence, reports, policies, agreements, training documents, and evaluations

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in hospitality management, business management, or restaurant management
  • experience in management in a dining service field
  • knowledge of industry standards for dining services including PCI compliance and point of sale maintenance
  • experience managing financials, labor, food handling, and quality control
  • skilled interpersonal communication
  • strong writing skills for preparing correspondence and reports
  • preferred leadership experience in residential food service
  • understanding of employment law, collective bargaining agreements
  • proficiency in computerized food production and procurement systems
  • knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations

  • oversee daily operations of residential dining commons
  • manage cash handling policies and procedures
  • develop and implement accountability controls for staff
  • monitor adherence to service and quality standards
  • support menu execution and promotional marketing opportunities
  • manage budgetary goals and financial reporting
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and facility maintenance standards
