Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Four years of related food service experience including one year of supervisory experience
- Food Service Manager Certificate issued by the Texas Board of Health
- CPR certification or must obtain within six months of hire
- Valid Texas Driver's License
- Ability to lift 20-50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop and perform physical tasks
- Ability to work flexible hours including holidays, nights and weekends
- Ability to pass criminal, driving, education and employment background checks
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol tests
Job Qualifications

- Understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and county laws
- Proficiency with computer software including word processing and spreadsheets
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to train and supervise personnel
- Ability to plan, assign, motivate and coordinate work
- Ability to prepare reports and correspondence
- Ability to manage time and multitask
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Job Duties
- Manages food service program operations including food preparation, serving, sanitation, and nutritional standards
- Ensures order, discipline and security measures
- Supervises staff, evaluates job performance, coordinates schedules and assignments
- Prepares and administers budget and reports
- Purchases food items and manages inventory
- Prepares menus considering budget and nutrition
- Maintains records and statistics
- Performs other related duties as assigned
